Table Officials

Does anyone have a list of duties for Table Officials ( as in the 4th official in a play off game).

We have not used a T.O. since we moved to 3 person, but in the 2018-19 play offs, we are going to have the 4th official at the table.

After seeing what happened to John Higgins, I'd like to know their duties and responsibilities.

I think that is up to your state or organization that does the assigning.

I would not automatically use the NCAA model as they have very specific duties. For one they are an "alternate" to the crew so if someone gets hurt, they are there to take the place of the official that is injured or sick.

But what they are asked to do beyond that is really not standardized. In our state, the alternate is used to be ready to replace a member that is hurt/sick and mostly charts things that the Head Official wants (who they sit next to in our State Finals). We really do not seem to help the crew with any direct information. I believe the NCAA alternate is involved in replay and communication to get rules and replays correct.

Peace

Easy BM, we have Mr. Battista in the DMV, we don't need your "little corner of Connecticut version". To quote Lavar Ball,
