Post Uniform Question

Had a partner that explained they started with a T because a player brought the wrong color of shorts, she had dark rather than white and didn’t match the rest of the team. I’ve been searching Rules and Cases, and haven’t found a requirement that all players pants/skirts have to match. He didn’t have coach lose the box either. Looking for any rules references that could clarify for me.

Thanks

She had the correct color jersey, same as all the other players, just different color of shorts. One would be hard pressed to say blue shorts on one player with everyone else in white shorts would be confusing to anyone.

The options are to not let the player play (if the official rules the uniform to be confusing or inappropriate) or do nothing. It should not be a TF.

It's half funny to me that the color of the shorts can be basically anything, but God forbid you have a 2nd logo somewhere on there....

that is over-officiating if it has no effect on the game then why insert yourself into it.

Our assignor has told us as long as the jerseys are the correct color let them play

Who Wears Short Shorts (The Royal Teens, 1958) ...

This is all I could find regarding shorts in the NFHS Rulebook:

Uniform pants/skirts shall adhere to the following: Only one visible manufacturer’s logo/trademark/reference is permitted. The size shall be limited to 2¼ square inches and shall not exceed 2¼ inches in any dimension on any item.

How about "Sam's Plumbing And Heating - 1-800-234-5678" displayed across a player's butt?
