As someone experiencing male pattern baldness in my late 30s I certainly empathize.

But what a horrible transition from T to L. Should have already been at/near the endline and this wouldn't have happened.

I agree, but for different reasons.

If the official had his head turned looking towards the floor for his first potential matchups, he probably would have picked up the flight of the ball out of his peripheral in time to duck or otherwise avoid the ball.

Looking straight ahead while transitioning to the new lead (or to the C, for that matter) is not good mechanics. He's actually fortunate the only thing that happened on that play was a ball to his own noggin. There's at least one, maybe two developing matchups moving into his new primary...and he has no clue.

Yes, that even moreso.

Way too casual all the way around.

Yes, but the rug got there and had a great 'look'

If that was me I would have just left how embarrassing.

I too started going bald a few years ago and made the choice to just shave it low, I would never wear a rug for this reason and the fact it really does not fool anyone they all know you are wearing a rug

That would have NEVER happened to Ed Hightower. His rug is screwed into his head
