Backcourt ?

The rule book states there must be player and team control in the front court. Yet the casebook states if A1 throws a pass from the BC and A2 in the front court tips it back and A recovers it is back court. Don't these two thing contradict each other?

reference, please.

9-9 only says "team control" and in your play, there was TC and the ball was in the FC.

My mistake I grabbed an old rulebook. It was 2012-2013 I was looking in.

PC in the FC was never* a requirement.

2012-2013 rulebook 9-9-1 on pg 58 says A player shall not be the first to touch the ball after it has been in player and team control in the frontcourt, if he/she or a teammate last touched or was touched by the ball in the frontcourt before it went to the backcourt.

I think I remember wondering about the contradiction of this and the casebook in the past. Prob around 2012-2013 :)
