Haven't watched the clips yet but saw the ending live and thought the no calls looked good in real time.

BTW, the plays you reference is the last video. :D Peace |
Play 1. Inconclusive. The real question isn't where the ball ended up in contact with the rim but where the rebounder caught the ball. Form that angle, it is hard to tell if it was caught outside the cylinder or not. If so, that would not be BI anymore than any dunk would be.
Play 2. Good call. 32 displaced the player in front of him and prevented him from getting the rebound. Play 3...foul. Jumped sideways into the shooter. Play 4....first contact was on the elbow before he got to the ball. After that, the contact looked clean. It wasn't really much, but they'd called far less a foul all night. Inconsistent if nothing else. |
Agree with Camron on plays 1 & 2.
#3. Maybe the defenders knee or leg kicks into the offense while both are elevated. This call would've had to have come from the trail. I'm still happy with no call here from the angles we have. #4. I don't see contact on the elbow. Looks like two hands on ball. As the ball comes down there may have been some contact on head with the right arm but that is the effect of offense attempting to move ball out of defenses grasp. Like no call. |

I do not see elbow contact on either shooting play. It looks to me like the shooter was trying to avoid a block and was off balance and got blocked. I thought those were two very solid no calls. I hope I would not have called anything in those situations as well.

I don't see how that couldn't be called a foul (referring to the final play when #25 goes up for the shot). The defenders' left arm is in direct contact with the shooters left elbow......he also hits him in the head with is left arm. To say there is no contact on that shooter except his hands on the ball? I don't see it that way at all.
