Video Request -- Iowa State @ Oklahoma State

Game was on ESPNU I believe. 2 plays requested.

1. 16 seconds remain in regulation. OSU take a shot. While ball appeared to be still on the rim, touched by one or both of two players up by the rim. The call was offensive basket interference. OSU Coach questioned it, and even cared a timeout to question it further. Is this a play that can be reviewed on replay?

2. OSU makes a basket with 4.3 seconds left in regulatio. ISU inbounds the ball and races up the court. Game is tied 79-79. CLOCK DOES NOT PROPERLY START. Clock starts about the time the ISU player with the ball crosses the three point line and releases a shot, which turns out to be an airball, which OSU rebounds with 1.4 seconds left. Whistle blows and officials review everything on the monitor and determine time should be out and game goes to OT.

Play 1....BI, yes, the ball was still in the cylinder. Both hands were definitely in contact with the ball when it was in the cylinder. You can see when the ISU hand touched it but you can't see, from the angles given, when the OSU hand first made contact. So, the video is inconclusive.

Play 1: My 2¢. Should be reviewable. And opting for simultaneous should be an option for the officials when said review is inconclusive.

That’s as close as one can get. I think, given the direction the ball took, that OSU flicked it first. But that’s an educated guess at best. One of those top-of-the-backboard views would have helped here.

Play one is impossible to make a ruling in real time. Watching in slow-mo it is still inconclusive.

Correct to go to OT in second play.
