Missouri v South Carolina
I’m post gaming at a watering hole. Missouri v SC is on, appears they were using a two man crew. Now the third joined. Anyone know what’s going on? No audio here.
|
The third guy that joined was an A10 official that filled in since there were no extra SEC officials available. The third scheduled official had travel problems because of weather. He got there in time to switch out with the A10 guy during the first media timeout.

Here is the video of the situation

I didn't understand why this was necessary. The new guy was there 2 minutes into the game. So why didn't they just delay the start by a couple of minutes and save the trouble? Or just finish the game with the crew that started it? Just seemed strange. If the ACC guy has already gone out of his way to help out here why not just let him do the job? I'm assuming they paid him well for his 2 minutes so its no skin off his back, but still.
BTW, what does everyone think of the FF1 they called on that replay? Looked like a common foul to this homer. |
F1 seems fine to me

Was the A10 guy just sitting in the stands and saw only two officials come out?

Hopefully he got more than a prorated fee.

It's possible he had another game in the area and somebody gave him a call to be on standby as a favor. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk |
