Ball Hits the back of the backboard
Two person game. Player A-1 dives past the endline to save a pass and directs the ball against the back of the backboard. Out of bounds caused by A-1. Whos call is this ... the lead or trail? Just thinking that a ball that hits the backboard support above the top of the backboard is the trail's call... Is this the same?

I would make this L's call.

I'd give first crack at it to the L also, but if T or C got it I wouldn't complain.

In several of these situations the player throwing or saving the ball is very near the end line and the Lead will be looking there to determine if that player touches out of bounds. Hence, it seems more likely that the Trail (or Center in 3p) would have the call for the thrown ball contacting the back of the board or a support.

Agree with Nevada on this. It would seem the T or C would have the best look at it.
