Jump Ball

Team A violated during the jump ball to start the game prior to any team gaining possession. Team B is given the ball for the subsequent throw in. How and to what team is the arrow set?

Which team has the first possession of the game? Set the arrow to the other team.

When do you set it? When the team takes possession for the first time.

I believe the arrow is set to the other team when the ball is at the disposal of the team member throwing in the ball.

Correct, when the ball is at the disposal of the thrower-in.

Not sure what the definition of "take possession" is.
