Pay Grade for College Officiating (Mens and Womens)

I am interested in the pay for officiating at the college level both on the Men's and Women's side of the game.

$10,000 per game plus travel and full benefits.

I believe the fee is the same for men's and women's.

Your mileage may vary, but here are some ball park numbers

JUCO: $125
DIII: $175
DII: $250

Seems correct for my area too, couple NAIA leagues vary from 175-190.

JuCo: $150
D3: $180-$190

This has been my experience as well

In KS, we got raises this year to $200 for JuCo and $195 to NAIA. I believe D2 is still $250. D3 doesn't exist around here.

Actually ... the increase for the KCAC doesn't hit until the 2018-19 season. The conference office just announced it early.

Does that include mileage or is that a contract fee inclusive of your mileage? Here it is for us:

JUCO: $125 plus mileage for the driver (crews sent together)
NAIA: $135 plus mileage for the driver (crews sent together)
DIII: $175-$250 Contract fee based upon mileage ranges.
DII: $325 Contract fee regardless of mileage (not nearly enough for many
games)

$325 for a DII game is extremely high. How far is the travel?

Mileage he says :p. We get nothing and like it in the Mid-Atlantic. Where are you working?

My biggest check - yeah, right

Quite a few years ago, while I was still reffing, I got asked to work a "fund-raising" game for the athletic fund at our local high school. A team of teachers and coaches were going to play a game against the "Portland Trailblazer's Alumni Team". This was a team made up of former Blazer players like Chris Dudley, Brian Grant, Terry Porter, Dale Schlueter, Jerome Kersey and Buck Williams. The game was held at the local HS gym and I worked it with another local ref.

All the admission money and profit from snacks went to the HS athletic fund. The gym was full, so I expected they made some good money.

How much was I paid for working the game? NADA. Since all three of my kids were either going or would be going to that HS, I did it for free. Oh yeah, the other ref did the same thing.

After the game (won by the Blazers) the Blazer coach came over to us and told us we worked a really good game. It made quite an impression on me to get that kind of comment from Blazer GM Harry Glickman.
