John Higgins vs Kentucky (compilation video)

I saw this video today of Kentucky fans whining about John Higgins and the crew over the UNC loss. Thought it would be worth discussing here.

Not sure why there are two videos there..

My $.02 on the plays in the video.

1. looks like a clean block
2. offensive BI call, I didn't like the call, but I didn't hate it either.
3. block called, looks like a PC to me.
4. Illegal hands on Fox; hard to tell, looks like a weak call.
5. over the back on blue 3; looks like blue 3 got fouled on the shot, then the push foul on the rebound is 50/50.
6. cutter falls no call; looks like a good no call, dude just flopped.
7. Foul on blue 35 on the arm; looks like a good call.
8. No call on "over the back"; this looks like a push foul on white 3 to me, but angle is bad.
9. blue 32 foul; looks like a good call
10. no call at rim; I like the no call here.

8:20 of the first half appears to be the first call on the video he made.

4:09 - This was a great call. The Kentucky player ripped his arm to get the ball.

18.7 - Gabriel appears to be holding the NC player and he cannot get to the ball. And the player did not complain (tells me a lot).

Last play of the first half - That is not just Higgins call. The Lead passed on this as well, which I think was a great no call.

BTW, did I say that he is still working the Final Four?

Peace

Unfortunately it doesn't end with the videos you posted. Kentucky faithful have made this personal and have been calling John Higgins's business and posting negative reviews of his business online.

Bullshit. He needs to keep working games as normally scheduled. They aren't the only ones who think Higgins is out to get them, and there's no reason to reward their whining.

I'd like to see Calipari step up and tell his fans to stop.

That would require Calipari to have character. I'm trying to remember ever seeing evidence of that.

I am starting to believe this more and more. He could end this by saying they got outplayed. He loves to talk big when he is on top about what they cannot do or what they are capable of, but that is when everyone thinks he has the better team. When he fails, he hides and says nothing and this would all be solved if he just took responsibility for losing the game. And he is going to need Higgins more than Higgins will need him. Sometimes these coaches do not realize that we will move on after this in a way he will be held responsible.

Peace

I agree he should say that, but at least he needs to say that attacking Mr. Higgins personally is wrong.

One's character is only on display when the chips stack against them. Anyone can act tough when the going is good.

This provides enough cover that KY fans can say he did it, I guess.
