Video Requests Elite Eight

OU/KU 13:44 2nd half

An example of why the Lead should not call fouls above the rim, especially on the other side of the rim.

It that is the one I'm thinking about....I agree. It was WAY out of his primary and the primary official had it right on time. It was an OBVIOUS foul if there ever was one. I could see the lead going to get that one if the trail and center don't get it but he should have been 3rd on that play.

There was one a few plays later where the Lead called what was an obvious foul, but should have been left for the Center to call.

The play I'm talking about two different players defeneded the shot and the Lead called it on the player from behind, who got the ball cleanly.

Different play than I remember. The one I'm think of was where Oregon #3 fouled at the top of the 3-point arc. He pretty much wiped out the shooter. It was doubled from the T and L. It was the right call, just can't figure out why the L would have a quick whistle on it????

1303 first half, unc guard in transition runs over Fox, who 'guessed right' as to where the dribbler was going and got there first. Clear charge, was called a block. I've seen a number of these in the tournament. It happens fast I realize, but officials need to be aware of the likelihood that if the defender makes a last minute shift guessing a change of direction and guesses right and he takes it in the torso, it's a charge. Very easy call on this one, and a potentially bad call on perhaps the most important player on the floor. And I'm rooting for UNC.

Possible offensive BI on North Carolina dunk with 3-something left in first half.
UNC v Kentucky on CBS

Agree, if it is the play I'm thinking about....much inconsistency in some areas in the first half of this game.
