Video Request: PAC 12 - Arizona vs UCLA

With 1:02 remaining, admin ref on inbound calls a 5 second count while other official comes quickly indicating a TO was called before violation. Looks as if admin official blows his whistle at 4.5 as his arm does not get fully extended on the 5th second. Not really caring but it seemed strange.

At end of game, Sean Miller (AZ coach) calls a TO with .9 seconds remaining and they were up plenty. He took no one out and apparently did not do it for any strategic reason. Some speculate is was due to Steve Alford (UCLA coach) doing something similar in the past.

Kind of like in football when a TO is called for as the play clock is expiring. The benefit of the doubt usually goes to the TO. Unwritten officiating maxim. Same in basketball at the end of a 5- or 10-count.
