AP Arrow Question

NFHS Rules:

A is awarded throw in from AP arrow. During inbound, A extends ball over boundary line. B1 grabs ball and creates jump ball situation with A1. Should Team A or Team B get the ball?

When does the arrow switch? Did the defensive or offensive team violate? That should answer your question!

Have you looked at 7.6.4 Situation E in the NFHS Case Book?

Sorry, brain fart. I blame it on being my offseason (no more tournament games for me :(). For some reason I was thinking the arrow changes when the ball is handed to the person throwing the ball in.

I'm going to walk away slowly now.

There are times when the arrow is set when the ball is handed to a thrower. Perhaps you were thinking along those lines.
