Smart play by the offensive player, he saw the take foul coming and went into the shooting motion. It's defendable on video. Make him earn it at the stripe. Worst thing that happens is the game is tied and UNC has the ball to win the game.

The foul came before shooting motion. He fouled him as he came across division line. Why would you want to "defend" it on video? He hasn't "earned" anything. You'd be giving him a gift. I'm certain the "worst thing that happens" isn't a tie....

Giving him 3 FTs would bring on much worse than that....

I don't think 3 shots is a choice.

If you call this a shooting foul, I think you are giving 4 or 5 FTs (I forget how many FTs for an unsporting T by a coach in NCAAM)

Cecil, your post number 8 didn't have a question mark. It was written like a declaration. A question mark would have gotten a tamer response.

Seems as if you are in the one which bashes the 99% of the officials who post here who will never work an ESPN game for expressing their opinions on a video clip.
