FIBA Rule catching airball

I have found several websites that clearly explain the rule regarding catching ones own airball.
My question is; Where can I find what FIBA rule that applies to the situation?

I can not find the situation specifically stated in the official rules nor the interpretations governing FIBA.
Regards, Jeff

There are no rules on "airballs".

Look under shot attempts. Once you've determined its a shot attempt, airball or not you follow same expectation.

If you don't think its a attempt. Rules for passing/dribbles/fumbles and footwork would apply.
