Successive Time Outs 5-11-7

Need some clarification on Rule 5-11.7

Successive time outs should not be granted at the end of the 4th or quarter or any extra overtime period.

This is only enforced when time has expired, not during the middle of an overtime period. For instance, Team A takes a time out once they cross half court. After the time out, and during the throw-in, after 4 seconds, Team A calls another time out. In this situation the time out should be granted.

All correct. The general purpose is to prevent "freezing" a FT shooter with no time remaining.

Just put 0.3 back on the clock. Everyone seems to think that's a cool thing to do in a HS basketball game, right?

...And yes, I'm being sarcastic. I also realized I've opened a can of worms and likely hijacked this thread.

If the game is tied, .4; If the game is not tied, .3 or .2 ;)
