After you get your error message from the Synergy app and click on 'OK', a Silverlight icon appears. Right click on the icon and one of the tabs to the far right has an option to "Delete All". Click on that, exit Synergy, then go back in. It should ask you to re-enter your username and password.

It's not a work-around, it's the actual solution to the problem. I forget what I did to get the Silverlight icon to show up, Maybe I clicked inside the blank screen after clicking "OK".
