FIBA Shot clock reset on Free Throw

Im puzzled by the wording in Art 50. of the FIBA rules.
Shot clock operator duties:
Is the offensive rebound after free throw 14 or 24 secs ?

RIBA articles:
50.3 Stopped and reset to 24 seconds,
dot point 4: The team is awarded free throw(s).

50.5 Stopped and reset to 14 seconds when:
After the ball has touched the ring on an unsuccessful shot for a field goal, a last or only free throw, or on a pass, if the team which regains control of the ball is the same team that was in control of the ball before the ball touched the ring

50.3 and 50.5 seem to contradict in the case of free throw.

what is the correct interpretation of 50.3 since i understood the idea of offensive rebound and 50.5 on FT was only 14secs.

It is reset to 14 if the offense gets the rebound on a missed free throw.

Thanks

That was my view, I have since interpreted awarded free throws from 50.3 to mean T, UN,Disqualified free throws and then it is consistent again.

Thanks for the feedback Jay.

Welcome to the board, Soadyp. You'll notice there aren't a lot of participants here that work games with FIBA rules. That's probably because their rule book is in metric. ;)
