Jerry West should be embarrassed
I was watching TV this afternoon and a commercial came on for some medication. It featured Jerry West working with a bunch of kids playing hoops. Some of the kids were wearing "illegal" uniform numbers (such as 9 and 17, to name a few).
There was a toll-free number that appeared on the commercial so I called it and asked the girl on the other end why they were featuring kids wearing numbers on their uniforms that wouldn't be allowed on the court. She told me she would transfer me to someone who could answer this for me, but after 10 minutes on hold, I hung up. |
NBA Rules these numbers are legal. The NBA appears to be sponsoring this commercial. IJS.

I don't think any of those numbers were the ones Jerry was concerned about when making the commercial.

Some shows get it right
I was watching one of the 20 Law & Order reruns I watch each day and there was a scene of a boys HS basketball game on for about three minutes. Guess what - all the players on both teams had legal numbers on their jerseys! Plus - from what I could see in that brief scene, all their uniforms were in compliance with NF rules, too!
I'm still waiting to see how they would do it on Sesame Street. ;) |
