5.2.1 Question
5.2.1E grants score to team A if jumpers were lined up wrong and A1 taps back to A2 who turns around and scores in the basket team A properly warmed up at previously.
5.2.1F says just stop play and turn the teams around and count all the scores for the "several baskets" that are scored when it is discovered that the jumpers were lined up wrong and play continued with teams at the baskets they did not warm up on for a while. What if, however, it's just one basket that was scored in the wrong basket? What if the jumpers were lined up wrong, A1 taps the ball ahead to A2 who proceeds to score in the basket team B warmed up at? If the wrong was discovered after that basket, which team would be credited for the score? |
The assumption in all these cases is that both teams were playing the same way (with the exception, perhaps, of the jumpers). That is, everyone (but the jumpers) knew A was going for the basket it warmed up at in the first case, and for the basket B warmed up at in the second case.
So, in you case, with the same assumptions, score the basket for A. |
