Illinois Half Court Buzzer Beater

On Friday night in a 2A Semi Final a team won the game on a half court buzzer beater. Question here is did he get it off in time. Illinois does not use replay to determine if a shot should count. If someone wants to embed the video go right ahead. Link is below

I believe that he released the ball in time, just like this (below):

The question on the UConn shot isn't the release, it's whether the clock started properly on the catch.

I would like to see the Illinois video slowed down. Hopefully one of our video guys can do that.

On top of that, it ticked down 1 or 2 more clicks after the ball was through the net on the made bucket at 0.8. The on screen click was lagging the clock above the basket by 0.2 seconds too on that shot.

There were several opportunities for the clock to be adjusted by very small amounts.

I think he got it off, but I'd say it was with less then 0.1 remaining. We're talking 1/100ths of a second here. That's about as close as it can get.

I'm assuming this facility had monitor capability. I don't understand states that refuse to take advantage of this provision for a state tournament series game when the facility has the capability. There's a lot on the line.
