NCAAW Mechanic Backcourt Endline Throw-In

For our NCAAW gurus:

Is the proper mechanic for a backcourt endline throw-in to bounce the ball across the lane rather than walking to the other side? I've seen this in a lot of games I've watched recently and thought it was worth asking about.

Yes, it is proper to bounce the ball across the lane even when there is defensive pressure; exception is when throw in spot is outside the arc of the three point line and the trail will balance the floor.

The official can also walk part- or all the way across and bounce the ball the rest of the way and then move back to the previous side.

I do wish others would adopt this mechanic.

I do it in 2-man whenever possible.
