TT/WV Backcourt no-call (18:21 2nd half)

Just putting a place-holder for the discussion on Facebook. The missed BC violation is pretty easy to identify in the video. What puzzling is folks saying that a player who grabs and passes the ball never had PC.

Note: whether or not there was PC by the person saving the ball is irrelevant to the BC violation. I'm just interested in how one would judge that player as not having PC.
