And I thought I'd seen just about everything. Yikes.

As someone who's worked at that school in the last month, this is one of the last places you'd expect to see something like this. While this wasn't in the varsity gym, their fieldhouse is in excellent shape and the floor is only 15 years old.

Freak accident.

I came close to having this happen in a boys game I was working a few years ago. A kid tripped and fell and a loose piece of floor tore a nice hole in his jersey.

Same situation as Rich was saying too...the gym and floor are almost brand new.
