Head bands. I looked in both rule book & case books, couldn't find it, but I know it's somewhere.
Player wearing a headband that's 'tied' in a knot in the back. No 'tails' to really speak of, but I thought I read somewhere that would be an illegal headband.
Would it be illegal?
Thanks in advance

Legal. How else could a player use a prewrap headband? Superglue?

Knots aren't illegal.

Extensions (tails) are illegal.

Is prewrap worn as a headband permissible?

Yes. It must be treated as a headband and
meet the color requirements. If it is tied it must
not have ends/tails. Prewrap worn to control
hair only, such as a “pony tail”, does not have
to meet color requirements.

I want to say that one of the preseason guides specifically talked about the headbands that tie, and deemed them illegal. I can't cite a rule about it, but I now that at least our area does not allow them.

Years ago I had this gal in a game. I let her wear the headband but not the necklace. :p

So how do the players keep on their prewrap headbands? A nail gun?

I'm an officiating robot... I just do as I'm told.

And what I read specifically talked about those headbands... Not a general statement.

Which should eliminate all prewrap headbands and will push the prewrap industry into bankruptcy. Thousands of prewrap workers will lose their jobs. Their children will go to bed hungry.

They're not made to be used as headbands anyway, so too damn bad. Lol
