Duh, looking for uniform violations and using my NFHS issued tape measure to measure length of hair barrettes

Common sense says I'll let them run the entire team down the endline and then up a sideline, but I'm not letting them send half of the team one way and half of the team the other way.

If the barrettes are metal, not measurement needed. Has anyone else worked in places where the girls think it's OK to put white athletic tape in their hair to cover up the metal barrettes or bobby pins?
