Utah @ Washington

at about the 4:02 minute mark there was some contact (multiple times) in front of the Utah coach which was not called and led to a fast break bucket for Washington. The Utah coach was irate and took a time out and got right in the face of the officials. I'm surprised he didn't receive a Technical despite being right in my opinion about wanting a foul.

Can we get a video of the play here?

OT w/ 21 seconds

Same game. Video request on the Intentional Foul that was ruled with 21 seconds left in OT. Then it was rescinded when they went to the monitor. Opinions? I think they had it right the first time...

The term you're looking for is "flagrant 1 foul" under NCAA rules.

I'm fine with how this was handled. Player made a legit play on the ball first and then made an attempt to keep the player from falling. I can't see a good reason to stay with a FF1 here.

the first one i dont see how a foul wasnt called. no ff1 in the second

I think T missed the grab of the shorts while trying to get on top of the play...and judged the rest of it to be two players stumbling into each other.

I also wonder whether the coach was in his face about the timeout...or a combination of the two plays. He did stand there for a few seconds signaling timeout before being noticed.

NCAA-Men's coaches are not granted time-outs when the ball is live, so he can't be complaining about that.
