I have two of everything in my bag. Problem solved.

When I swap out my new shoes, I just put the old ones in the trunk. They're serviceable if needed.

Two towels? I forgot to pack a towel last week. I was lucky that the athletic director was able to get one for me. It was a prep school. I doubt that I would have been able to get one at a public high school.

Too late, just purchased Haggar Plain Front Pants, $36.99, from Amazon. Free shipping. Free belt loops.

Surely you replace stuff from time to time? Put the "old" stuff in the car.

Chalk me up as someone who just takes his chances.

I'll frequently meet and then ride with a partner. No chance I'm bringing a spare bag into someone else's car.

If I was going to bring an extra anything, it would be pants.

too smart

Several years ago my partner arrived at game site, checked his trunk, and realized he had driven the "wrong" vehicle to the game. He had outsmarted himself by packing the night before and putting everything in the trunk of his car (including spares!)... except his wife drove that car to work that day....

My bag is big enough to carry an extra pair of pants, all three types of shirts we may wear (panel, no-panel, and the new OHSAA logo one), an extra under-shirt, and an extra pair of socks. That goes along with my shower stuff. Does that make me some type of pack-rat? Maybe. But I feel better prepared.

When I get a new pair of sneakers next season, I'll remember to keep the old pair in my car. I don't think they'll fit in my bag, and I don't want to buy a new/bigger one.

Exactly what I do. Not that difficult of a concept. Bag never leaves my trunk. If I use something out of it, I wash it immediately and put it back or replace it with a clean substitute.

Yes, I used to carry the spare bag in the trunk. But I haven't in a few years. I just have a packing routine that largely eliminates the chance of forgetting something. And as for something messing up, I don't think there is much that can go wrong that can't be fixed with a few safety pins or a dip in the sink.
