Jump ball
 

During a jump to start the game both players tip and return to the floor. Can the player retap the ball again? The rule says two tips is legal. The only problem is this in the air?

You do not have to jump in the air to touch the ball, the ball is supposed to be tossed higher than the jumpers can jump and there to get it on the way down.

If they don't jump and tap it legal.

Why is this a problem? When the ball hits the floor the jump ball has ended? And this is very possible to tape twice while still in the air. I see it rather often in many cases.

I would do the same, but it also depends on how you define should. Some people take it as ought to and not a must.

You can tip twice before the ball hits the floor. Whether you are in the air or on the floor doesn't matter. Also, once the ball hits the floor the jump ball is now over and either jumper can grab the ball.

Of course you would do the same. 6-3-6.
