NFHS -- Technical Foul Scenario Help

GM,

Scenario

Team Blue has possession arrow to start second half.

An administrative error was caught in the book during halftime against Team Blue. Technical Foul is assessed against Team Blue, and Team White is granted two free throws to start the half.

What happens after that?

Does Team White get 2 shots and ball?
Does Team White just get 2 shots, then go to AP and Team Blue inbound to start the half?
What happens to the arrow?

White gets 2 free throws to start the 2nd half and the throw-in opposite the division line.

The arrow remains in the direction of blue.

I believe White gets the shots and the ball. The arrow is not needed or changed as this is no longer an AP throw-in.

hmmmm....that makes sense.

So what about to start an OT? Do you start without a jumpball?

How would you start a game if you had a dunk during pregame? Would you start it with a jumpball?

IDK, that's why I am asking the question.

If you have a T then what is the penalty and the resumption of play after? If you answer that then you answer your question.

What is the purpose of the jump ball?

eeek...now I don't get on guys because we all started somewhere but you need to get in your book just a little more. I think this is a pretty basic scenario.

If you issue a "T" to team A before the game starts then you start the game with 2 shots for team B plus the ball at the division line.

I've given you that part, now, what do you do with the possession arrow?

Just curious, what type of error was discovered?

To establish AP.

The error was they added a player to the book at some point during the first or second quarter...after I had already signed the book.

That has to be penalized when it happens. Once the name is added and you start playing then you cannot go back and penalize. You can however penalize then if there needs to be another change in the book. You can also only have 1 T for changes to the book. So 1 edit or 100 it's 1 T.

That's an administrative T in ncaaM so it should be 1 shot and then POI.

It happened at the end of the half according to my partner.

When was the book changed versus when was it penalized?

IOW there should not be a discrepancy between the 2.

If it's discovered at halftime that they added a player to the book during either the first or second quarter, it's too late to penalize.

In the case where you start a game or OT with a T, the AP is established without a jump ball. No need.
