Free Throw

Ball comes to rest on flange or lodges between rim and backboard on last free throw. What is the rule? (highschool)

If there are more FT's to shoot after then they get to shoot those. If there aren't then it's an AP throw in.

When and why would those EVER go to the AP arrow???? After FT's for those are wrapped up the offended team gets the ball back.

So the correct answer that covers all scenarios is that you go to POI.

And POI could be continuing the penalty for the foul (possibly another FT, throw-in at spot nearest the intentional foul, or throw-in at division line), or continuing to penalize further fouls (in a multiple foul situation), or an AP throw-in, or end of period, or ...

You don't go to POI in all scenarios.

What is the point of your question and what does it have to do with anything I said?

You said you covered all scenarios, and I'm saying no you didn't. Then I gave examples.

Somehow you bring up an AP arrow.

Agree. The rulings were indeed incomplete for exactly the reasons you mentioned.

When the ball gets stuck on a FT, you go to subsequent FTs if any are due. If not AND there is no other part of a penalty due, then you go to the AP arrow. Else, you continue with the pending penalty administration.
