He wasn't trying to stop the ball from being made live. #8 walked onto the floor after the ball had already been made live. This is not on the officials not counting...not in any way.

The NBA is so worried about competition they should allow a team to have use 6 players when they reach 0-15, 7 players at 0-25, 8 players etc. until they get their first win.
