scrounge Matte for me. I can't stand patent leather, looks 'fake' and plasticky to me. Didn't like them when I was in the Army, don't like them now. But that's just me.

walt I agree with Bob. While some don't say you must wear patent, at least one of my coordinators says "all black shoes either patent or polished to a high shine".
JRutledge I have both, but I like the matte version the best. I used to be into the patient leather when they made them for the Converse All-Stars, but that was a phase and I got over them. I like putting on a little shine when I can. Peace
