Men's League Folly
 

"C" League Semi-Finals last night.

Five minutes to go in the game "A" up by 15. "A" brings in their last player off the bench (A1) who hadn't played all game. They get him the ball and he fumbles it out of bounds. Next time he passes the ball. Another "A" player tells him, "We're getting it to you to shoot!"

About 45 secs left in the game "A" still up by 10 and A1 still hasn't scored yet. They get the ball to him at the top of the key and he fires up and air-ball. A2 gets the rebound and fires it back to A1, who fires up another weak shot. B1 rebounds the ball and intentionally throws it to A1 still at the top of the key. This time A1 drives the lane and puts up a shot which B1 swats about 30 feet!!!!

B1 says, "C'mon, I'll give you the three pointer, but not a layup!"

One of the funniest things I've seen on court in a while.

Just for the hell of it and to add to the folly, I would have called a foul on B1 no matter how clean the block was and let A1 shoot a couple free throws!!:cool:

Or better yet, wasn't that goaltending?! :D

[B would start to complain but then realize, if he's not of, ahem, size, that he will now have something to brag about until he chooses not to.]
