The thing is I do think a league like this could work. They had some quality players lined up and if you can get a North American league running that pays better than NBADL salaries the players will be there. The NBADL just isn't worth it for many players when there are better options overseas. But a lot of players are put off by the overseas experience or don't want to leave the US. I hope it gets rebooted just with a lot more planning

with his gambling issues, no way the NBA would let him ref today. I wonder if the NBA demands phone records, bank statements, things of that nature that are privacy violations.

I actually have a picture of me with Mendy Rudolph and Dave Zinkoff (famous Philadelphia Spectrum announcer) before a Knicks vs 76ers game....from many, many moons ago (I'm talking the Frazier, Monroe, Barnett, Bibby, Jackson, Knicks vs Cunnigham, Collins, Carter, Sixers).

Who knew some 40 or so yrs later, I'd be officiating myself and have met several other NBA officials?

A nice memory.
