Jim Joyce

Where in the world is Jim Joyce this postseason? I don't recall that he had one assignment, not even a wildcard game. Is he hurt? I can't believe that he wouldn't be selected to work the postseason at all, I can understand him not working the WS since he worked it last season, but to my knowledge, Jim is one of the highest rated amongst his peers, and players think highly of him too.

I mean if Joe West can work an LCS, surely there must be a reason behind Jim Joyce not working the postseason this year. Anybody have any ideas?

For the record, yes I am a Jim Joyce fan, I admire him for the whole Armando Galarraga situation, and I think he is one of the best umpires in the game. I am NOT a Joe West fan, at all, and there are several others I'm not a fan of. I am ok with this WS crew, but still wondering what about Jim Joyce?

Neither Jim Joyce, John Hirschbeck, or Dana DeMuth have worked this postseason. All three worked last years World Series.

I believe it's due to time missed during the regular season.
