Looking For A Reference

I'm looking for an "official" interp on this play - haven't found one yet.
OBR. R2. Ground ball to short, who checks the runner and throws to first, where the BR is ruled "safe". The first baseman vehemently disagrees with the call, throws the ball to the ground, and the base umpire ejects him WITHOUT calling "time" first. R2 takes off for third and the first baseman picks up the ball and throws to third to try and retire him.

Do you call the play at third? Do you call interference on the first baseman since he's been ejected and shouldn't be "playing" anymore?

Whatever you do, is there a written reference to this situation - a player ejected during live action continuing to be involved in a play?
