bunt and infield fly

Yesterday in the CHW game with KC (?) did anyone see the plate umpire signal ilfield fly on the bunt attempt in the late innings of the game? Can a bunt be an infield fly if it is popped up?

Nope. By definition, a bunt is never an infield fly.

An INFIELD FLY is a fair fly ball (not including a line drive nor an attempted
bunt) which can be caught by an infielder with ordinary effort, when first and second, or first, second and third bases are occupied, before two are out.

I did not see the play, however.
