Good point about Nyers until he started in with the "Unconsciously Bias" stuff, after trying to clear the air by stating most people are "Fair".

If your "Unconsciously Bias" then your probably Unconsciously Fair also.

Here is another case of a lot of work for basically nothing. These articles are maybe entertaining but not telling us anything new. And there is the 'unconscious bias' term used again. If its unconscious, then you can't fix it because you don't know its happening, right? I guess since it can't be fixed than the whole article is a waste of time.

Life is full of unconscious bias. So much that's it's irrelevant to nearly every discussion.

There are not enough Black players to even make this an issue. Or when they say African-Americans, are they including Spanish speaking players? That would not make them African-American if they were from another country but happens to be Black. Black and African-American are not really the same thing automatically.

And will someone explain to me why the home team gets more calls? MLB pays the umpires, not the teams themselves out of their personal budget. Where do they get this stuff from?
