HP Umpire Cam
Thought some may like this quick video. I'd love to see one on a rotation and big call to 3rd or something!
Proof that being an umpire isn’t as easy as it looks | For The Win <iframe src="//player.vimeo.com/video/73409631" width="500" height="375" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe> |
A great perspective. Thanks for sharing.

What is a useless piece of equipment?
|
The Umpire Cam. About as useful as the strike box on TV.

This is something to make these "numb-nuts" who don't know a thing about umpiring feel good about themselves!

They all prove the same things. 1. Officials are expected to be perfect from day one and get better from there. 2. There is no such thing as a perfect official. 3. Opinions about their calls are like A**Ho***. Everyone has one. |

Given today's technology, there's definitely equipment out there that can give you a much more realistic view than this one. |
The camera angle was not the best. But it does show how fast that ball comes in there, but the camera distorts the look that you would actually get.

If the film maker had a look at this website, they'd probably feel the same way umpires feel when fans talk about them. Start at perfect and get better.

What type of camera is this? I'd be interested to see how it is mounted.

It's most likely a GoPro camera. It is a small HD camera that was designed for mounting in extreme areas. They come with mounting hardware that can go almost anywhere
