What bothers me is that 98% of the media is regarding this call as a gross error. From any angle, the play was dang close, IMHO.
The call itself was close. What's gross in the average fan's mind is how costly it turned out, since a correct call would have tied the game in the B9. If this had happened in the 5th inning, it wouldn't have registered a blip on the radar screen.
