Ed Hickox Final Lawsuit Victory
 

The D.C. Court of Appeals affirmed Ed Hickox's victory over Wilson due to injuries sustained from a foul ball off the mask. Read the opinion here.

Including that he got a "foul tip" off the mask :)

Appellate-speak usually isn't so bad.

Two of the three judges hearing this case were appointed by G. W. Bush, and the third by Obama — after clerking for Scalia. Go figure...

And all the court participants were wearing clothes and it was partly cloudy out too.

According to the court document, Ed got $750K and his wife got $25K. That's about 5 year's salary for him, but after the lawyer's cut he'll be lucky to get half. Better than nothing at all, but still not good.

What model mask was he wearing?

Yes IF Wilson knew how big a risk they were taking using Ed as a guinea pig to test their mask. That half-mil is probably what he would have earned umping in that time, so there's really nothing for damages.
