catcher interference

batter squares to fake bunt and pulls the bat back to swing. In the process of pulling the bat bat back he hits the catchers mitt. Is this still catcher interference? Thanks Mike

The batter is entitled to an unimpeded opportunity to bat, including whatever preliminary motions he wishes to make (faking a bunt, etc.).
