2012 MLB Crews

Does anyone know this year's MLB crews?

SanDiegoSteve Wed Apr 04, 2012 09:07pm

I've looked in the usual places and can only find 2011 crew listings.

The sniffing has begun a little later than usual.

Oh, I suppose it's that some sophomoric humor is derived from anybody taking an interest in Major League umpires and their careers. It somehow, and for the life of me I don't understand why, makes one a "jock sniffer." If you mention that you have worked with some big league umps in the past, and dare mention it, you are a "name dropper." Same premise. I don't see what's wrong with following umpires and inquiring as to their crews, or posting the names of pros you have had the pleasure of working with in the past, but somehow it offends some people.

You can call me a sniffer. The first thing I notice when I watch a sporting event is who's officiating. In the dozen years that I've been officiating, I can';t watch the games the way I used to. I officiate along with them, I admire their strenghts, I criticize their mistakes etc.... And I like knowing the makeup of the crews. So be it.

You're supposed to sniff it, not eat it.
