What are you "reading" on a dribbler up the first base line that ends up 10 feet foul? The "read" part is you reading the outfielders to decide whether or not to go out.

Proper use of the eyes and good timing are different than the "PRR" concept, IMO.

Do I (as BU in A) need to pivot?

Do I (as BU in B/C) need to help my partner with touches at third?

The amount of time spent pausing and reading might be different, and the reaction a lot less (or maybe even none at all), but the concept can apply.

How true. I pause, read, react before I open my wallet.

I agree that as BU in A, you have to PRR when you decide whether or not to go out and then pivot if you don't.

Pause, read, react occurs all over the field in many situations.
