Your Longest Game
Anyone got me beat? 21 innings 6hours 50 minutes
It takes 21 innings, but Rhodes advances: D3baseball.com |
Boys' H.S. jr. varsity that when a full thirteen innings. The game was tied at 3-all after seven innings and the Visitors won 5-3. The OhioHSAA has a ten inning rule for pitchers in three day period. The starting F1 for the Home team when ten innings before having to be replaced. Each team used only two pitchers and we had a grand total of three walks per team and two of those walks per team were intentional. I don't remember how long it too to play but it was a game that neither team did not derserve to lose and it was a game that was so well played that it was a shame that the game had to end.

I worked 3rd in a 3-man. Rhodes went on to lose 2 games on Saturday to get eliminated. They finished 3rd overall

I hope that someone bought you guys (especially the PU) a few beverages after that game.

Did the plate for a fall college game that went 18 innings a few years back. Not sure on the time but I want to say around 5:30.
It was supposed to be two 7's, but once they got into the 10th inning they decided to just let it go and play that game out as the only game for the day, figuring someone will break it open soon. Lucky me. |

I did a an 18 inning (over 6 hours) game playoff game as U1. Three things stand out from that game.
1. I wasn't scheduled originally. Got a call from the assignor that morning, I figured it would be a couple of hours. 2. Both dugouts cleared in the 5th or 6th inning, alot of posturing, no one ejected 3. In the bottom of the 7th (7 inning game), I had a banger at first base. Called him safe and he went to tie the game; if I had known:) |
48,
For some reason my post got yanked off this thread, and I don;t know why, but good job on your game. Hope your partners and you enjoyed the game. |

Worked a college wood bat league DH about 4 years ago, on Father's day. First game went 10, second the normal 7. I not sure how long all this lasted, but partner did not show so I worked 17 plate innings by myself and it was about 90 degrees. Miserable day.
I don't recall a single argument or close play from the two games. I doubt it went 6.5 hours though, maybe 5.5 with break in between. The 10 inning game went faster than you might imagine, good pitching, good defense, wood bats. |
