Little League bans composite bats at all levels
 
The Associated Press: Little League bans composite bats in all divisions

Pretty bad timing, if you ask me. Now the brand new bat that little Timmy got for Christmas this year is esentially worthless in Little League.

From what I've read from other umpires, it's been warned that it was going to happen... for a while now:

Look for PONY and other competing organizations to use this as a marketing tool: "We allow composite bats!"

This has been warned and publications send to all leagues earlier.

Most of the other youth sports programs will likely JUMP ON BOARD as well.

I don't think any league wants to be the one that allows them and then something happens and a lawsuit begins.

It stinks that society is at that point, but its the world we live in today.
