Article about Little League and Instant Replay.

I enjoyed reading this article. Too bad more people do not have his take on instant replay.

Very good article and why we need to get rid of replay ideas in baseball. It is not going to make the game better.

Peace

Exactly, and just all the hoopla about it makes it even worse for the game. Just wait, something is going to happen, it does every year, in MLB postseason that will elevate the opinions of many that instant replay is a fix.

Even in football where instant replay has been used for years now, it is not always the fix that they thought it would be.

Thanks
David

Mark as I stated in another thread LL has sold their soul. IMO, MLB might be somewhat behind this idea. After all it was the LLWS that FIRST had IR before MLB adopted it.

MLB is thinking about expanded replay and they need a "test object" to see how it will work and what "kinks" need to be ironed out.

The article was RIGHT ON. If the worst thing that happens to you is that you get hosed sliding into home plate thank your lucky stars. NOTHING is fair and now LL is teaching the kids that no matter what happens to you it can be fixed.

How will they handle a situation where you get laid off from a job because the boss hired his son/daughter even though you are a better worker then either one,

Is that FAIR? - No but it happens. There are other numerous examples.

LL is now a joke.

...perhaps karma will intervene and the LL Championship Game will end in a tie after all pitchers are expended ;)

FAIR is where they pin the blue ribbon on to the prize hog.

No, it's the part of the field between first and.... oh, jeez, you already know!

Well the first challenge was made just a few seconds ago. The umpire got the call right.

Peace

I just checked the ground outside AND the sky. Believe it or not, the ground was warm AND the sky was still there. I'd bet if you checked the Earth from space, it would still be rotating, too.

Amazing.

I like the fact that the homeplate umpire is wearing a different color than the rest of the crew...

I guess the ball bags, chest protector, and face mask didn't give it away that he had the dish during the game.

Little league never seems to amaze me.

He looks like he forgot his uniform and had to wear whatever he had. Tacky... just tacky.

I guess the last two posters forgot this used to occur in Major League Baseball -- specfically the American League in the late 1990s.

Who really cares about that?
