Most key league indicators (runs per game, batting average, home runs) haven't been this low in a full season since 1992 or 1993.
In a radio interview the other day, the person doing the interview asked (I believe it was an ESPN analyst) about it being the Year of the Pitcher. The analyst, in his response, stated runs per game was just barely lower than last year (something similar to 4.38 and 4.35).
